election is a very colourful event indeed.
teringat zaman pilihanraya bwp kat maresmart dulu. best giler (especially time our batch, sebab time junior nye election cam tak best je poster and all).
election also a very fun time, if it excludes the keganasan and perang... ^__^

CYBERJAYA PAINTBALL CHALLENGE 2008

I went to a paintball tourney @ Cyberjaya yesterday...I had lots of fun...The paintball match was a Speedball category - Capture The Flag...It was very tricky to shoot photos with the face mask on...The new Olympus cameras with LiveView mode will be very handy, I wish I had an E-3 (how many times have I use this word n___n;)...

Banyak ambik gambar amoi and awek je...I find women engaging in depth perception activites rather...attractive...this includes photography...heh...

painball...i got hit by a pallet on my left kidney...still got the bruise...and during the last game, I got a BOOM! HEADSHOT!...I got paint all over my shirt and my E-500... n___n;

quick edit of the painball shoot...

First time I went to LTDL KL Criterium Stage...Mmg best amik gambar...Byk variety shots boleh ambik in this 12 rounds race...just kena pandai cari spot...I just shoot along Jalan Raja Chulan and a corner at Jalan Tun Perak...I got to try "baring atas jalan and only inches away from the bikers" I saw last year, the pros are doing it so I thought my not try it...bestttt (said while showing a thumbs up for more emphasis) n___n b...

Here's some pics I editted just now...will edit some more later...Cheers....

FYP research...NPR rendering...

NPR stands for Non-Photorealistic Rendering...just google to know more...basically what it does is to emulate traditional arts medium in CG environment through rendering process...pencil sketch, watercolour, oil painting, woodetching just some of the styles you can achieve by using NPR...To date, the PS2 game "Okami" is one of the best example of NPR rendering CG...

I would love to do a post-graduate research on this subject if I get the chance one day...

Shots from Olympus OM-1...without metering

I shot these images using an Olympus OM-1 which has been in storage for more than a decade...It's a fully mechanical camera which means it can operate without any battery...Without a battery, there's no metering...Equipped with an Olympus legacy lens the Zuiko 50mm 1.2...it's a one magnificent built-to-last piece of equipment...it's not a toy camera like those of LOMO...

So I decided to put my eye to the test by gauging the exposure using the Sunny-16 rule and EV guide numbers...The way I operate the camera is to put it at an initial setting of 1/1000, f2.8, ASA 25 for bright day exposure (EV0) or 1/500, f1.2. ASA400 for home interior (EV7) or 1/15, f1.2 for street at night (EV12)...then adjust accordingly by observing the surrounding incandescent light and shadows...It's truly a different experience than just relying on high-tech features of a DSLR...

there's something divine about film photography that you can "feel" compared to using DSLR...i'll try to do film photography as least once a month...

Good results. Next, try using color reversal film and digitize. [I think Kodak Malaysia can do that 'printing-on-CD']. I'm sure the results will be as good if not better than those captured with CCD/CMOS. Wed 20-Feb-2008 06:34

Olympus OM-1

I would love to shoot film using this camera again but the problem is that I just can't find a 1.35V mercury battery needed for the exposure metering...hmm...
