Itsy Bitsy Spider...

starting to enjoy taking pictures of "finer things in life"...i'm still green in this macro stuff but I'm intrigued by the set of challenges it provides...stealth, focussing, DOF and flash technique...i dunno what species of spider is this...need to ask an expert...

"bro red, apa nama spider ni..." n___n

No problem, mate. Both are commonly known as jumping spiders from family Salticidae.

General identification:
1. Jumps all the time instead of crawling.
2. A pair of very large eyes facing front. A pair of large eyes facing the sides but at the rear. 2 pairs of small eyes in between.

Syok kan main 35mm ni?

Feeling the macro mojo...

Starting to get the "feel" of using macro lens...I found that setting the lens to 1:1 using MF and closing in to the subject is way easier than trying to focus manually by dialling...the thing about Zuiko Digital lens is that the MF is using focus by wire so there's this "detached" feel to it that I find less appealing...

1:1 MF SQ...reminded me of chemistry experiment..."Proses Elektrolisis CuSO4..."

1:1 MF SQ...setup: window cleaning liquid under a red umbrella backlit by morning sun... n___n;

So aku dh xleh nmpk dh la gmb2 ko kt critic session pas nie?Ayooo..anyway,ganbateeeee!!! Fri 25-May-2007 18:15

Zuiko Digital 35mm 3.5 Macro

Got the macro lens from Boeing Sungei Wang. It's very compact, very light. I found that AF is for 1:4 to 1:1.15...but for 1:1, I had to use MF...Here's some of the test shots...Flash: Vivitar 2800D with DIY diffuser...

AHWAN PHOTOGRAPHY...

my father's photography blog...

he's been into photography long before i was born...an avid olympus fan...trip 35, om-1, om2, om-4 user...his flair is in nature, macro and flash photography...he's the one who taught me how to use the 35mm camera and all about camera control (long before Che Mat taught me about aperture, shutter and ISO at MMU)...he's self-taught...growing up, i always see photography as my father's domain...until recently, i started to show my passion in it...he's been a good mentor and an inspiration to me...

Birding...

Phew...done with exams...gotta pickup the camera again...shot these today around my home...

Zuiko Digital 40-150mm 3.5-4.5

This weekend probably going to the Colors of Malaysia (gotta do those slow shutter motion stuff) and to KL Bird Park with my family...

I'm currently sorting out my photo collection...It's been 6 months since I started using dSLR...my little brother's dSLR...not yet having a camera to call my own... n___n; kinda reworking and reprocessing on some earlier photos, started learning Adobe Lightroom and archiving files...

Last 2 weeks I tried the new E-410...it's great...love the ISO improvement and "barrel-grip" hold...very lightweight, compact and the new ED kit lens is impressive...
